feeling overwhelmed?

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, this quote might spark some inspiration:

“Deciding what not to do is as important as deciding what to do.”

~ Steve Jobs

Another thing I would do is apply the 80/20 Principle to EVERYTHING. Identify what matters most to your life, and only focus on taking action for them. All else is redundant if they are not life-and-death matters.

“The 80/20 Principle” book by Richard Koch

Live A Laser-Focused Life

A 30-year-old client came to me when he was going through some dilemmas and feeling lost. He felt ashamed of not reaching his first $1 million yet and wasn’t sure what to do if he couldn’t save enough by 35 years old. I had an open discussion with him on his top 3 life goals/priorities and worked alongside him to identify what he truly wants while crossing out those that belong to others (e.g. expectations from parents, peer pressures, social media influences, etc.).

Deciding what NOT TO DO is crucial to saving energy, time and resources for our top life priorities. Do you “have to” reply to that email? If it’s an email instead of a call, perhaps it’s not about life-and-death issues. No harm in taking some time to get refocused on things that matter to THE LIFE THAT YOU WANT.
